As part of the work carried out by Bibracte within the SECreTOUR project, the Grand Site de France of Bibracte - Morvan des Sommets will host the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Francophone Faro Network from 8 to 10 June, on the theme “Landscape, Law and Commons.”
The Francophone Faro Network brings together civil society organisations, institutions, and local authorities around a shared, democratic and inclusive vision of heritage, grounded in the principles of the Council of Europe’s Faro Convention. It fosters collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and mutual recognition between heritage communities, promoting more participatory and democratic approaches to heritage governance in public policy.
The 2026 annual meeting will bring together around thirty members of the Francophone Faro Network, including representatives of the Council of Europe, civil society organisations, institutions, and local authorities committed to the principles of the Faro Convention, the Florence Convention, and the commons-based approach. The seminar is also open to SECreTOUR partners.
It will provide an opportunity to share with the network, as well as with speakers and participants, the results of the deliverables from WP1 “Heritage communities, social innovation and sustainable tourism practices in rural areas” led by Bibracte.
