Rejuvenation of the "Acequias de Los Molinos" (Alhama de Granada) took place on 5 October 2024, the activity brought together thirty volunteers to do the work. Using traditional tools (shovels and hoes) they removed the soil and vegetation which had accumulated over decades of neglect. The main objective of this initiative is to return water to one of the flour mills located in the area of Los Tajos de Alhama.
This activity has been organised by the owners of the Fca. de Harinas La Purísima (Alhama de Granada), the Town Council of Alhama de Granada and the Biocultural Archaeology Laboratory of the University of Granada MEMOLab, with the collaboration of different local associations.
