On 23 July 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Manuel Carra Theatre in Castril will host the First Meeting for the Creation of the Castril Heritage Community, an open event for everyone interested in helping shape the future of the municipality's cultural and natural heritage.
A Heritage Community is a group of people who share an interest in understanding, caring for, valuing, and passing on the heritage they consider meaningful to their territory. Inspired by the principles of the Council of Europe Faro Convention, this initiative encourages citizens to play an active role in identifying, managing, and promoting their heritage, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and the collective development of ideas for the future.
During this first meeting, the initiative will be introduced and participants will have the opportunity to share ideas, concerns, and proposals about Castril's heritage and its role in the municipality's social, cultural, and territorial development.
The event is open to anyone interested in heritage, history, landscapes, local traditions, sustainable tourism, or simply to those who wish to contribute actively to the future of Castril. No prior knowledge or experience is required—everyone's perspectives and experiences are welcome.
