On the 7th of October 2024, an interpretative route took place through the main irrigation channels of the municipality of Cáñar (La Alpujarra, Granada). This visit was in collaboration with the Asociación de Ciencias Ambientales (https://www.cienciasambientales.org.es/), as part of the environmental volunteering programme they carry out in the National Parks. We had the participation of the Cáñar-Barjas Irrigation Community, the main experts on the irrigation channels, their maintenance and management.
