Our Slovenian colleagues in Arctur have made this video outlining the work of the Albanian pilot - Discover the Vlach Heritage.
The upper Vjosa Valley in SE Albania has historically been home to the Vlachs. They have preserved aspects of their unique culture and tradition but in recent years this has been threatened. The SECreTOUR project and the project partner CeRPHAAL are developing a ground-up approach by documenting surviving memories, oral traditions and practices which capture the essence of Vlach heritage. The transhumance routes, integral to the Vlachs will be surveyed and incorporated into touristic itineraries. The initiative fosters knowledge transmission to the younger generation to empower them to safeguard their legacy.
