The ELTE team together with the youth from Tomor and the university students - attended a workshop at an international conference, Museums in Higher Education Conference 18th-19th May 2026 in the school of English and American Studies in Budapest.
On the same day we opened a pop-up exhibition at ELTE and had a very fun evening / concert. The day after we drafted the manifesto about our common participatory heritage and memory-research.
ELTE – ROMAMA Manifesto
Participatory memory and heritage research is for everyone!
All participants are treated equally, regardless of skin color
Roma heritage for us: family history, discovery, and knowledge-sharing
Our collaboration is based on friendship and a sense of belonging
Knowledge isn't just institutional; we learn from one another
Education must be accessible to everyone, regardless of gender or skin color
Cooperation will be successful only with the active participation of the community
